Dusty Mathus is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in offshore and marine facilities. Currently serving as Senior Project Engineer at Woodfibre LNG Limited, Dusty oversees the engineering and installation of moorings for floating storage tank barges and offshore structures. As an Independent Contractor since 2017, Dusty has acted as Principal Offshore Consultant for various companies, including Apex Subsea, overseeing design, procurement, and offshore installations. Previous roles include Principal Subsea Engineer and Technical Manager, with significant experience managing complex projects in regions such as China. Dusty also has a solid foundation in construction management and engineering from early experiences at NAVSEA and Habitat for Humanity. Dusty holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Woodfibre LNG

The Woodfibre LNG Project is operated by Woodfibre Management Ltd, a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Woodfibre LNG facility is being built on the site of the former Woodfibre pulp mill site, which is located about seven kilometers southwest of Squamish, B.C. on the traditional and unceded territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation). Woodfibre LNG is the first LNG export facility in the world to commit to achieving net zero emissions by 2027. During construction, Woodfibre LNG expects a peak workforce of more than 800 individuals, with over 100 long-term operating positions at the facility once construction is complete.
