Christa Farmer is an experienced fundraising professional with a strong background in philanthropy and development. Currently serving as the Director of Individual Giving and Campaigns at Woodland Park Zoo since January 2023, Christa previously held the position of Director for Philanthropy at UW Medicine, where major gift efforts focused on autism, The Sports Institute, and Alzheimer's Disease. Prior roles include Executive Director for the Fowler College of Business and Regional Initiatives at San Diego State University, where leadership involved cross-functional coordination and strategic programming for regional fundraising. Christa's career also includes significant contributions to the athletics development team at SDSU, as well as earlier positions at UCLA Anderson School of Management and North County Community Services. An alumnus of San Diego State University with a BA in Public Relations, Christa is also a certified yoga instructor (RYS 200).
