Timothée Boitouzet

Timothée Boitouzet began their career in 2010 as a Researcher at the Harvard Organismic Evolutionary Biology Department - Chemistry Department, where they conducted research on biomass transformation at the nano and molecular level. In 2011, they became a Researcher at the MIT Media Lab and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, where they conducted research on composite material's characterization and alteration under constraint.

In 2012, Boitouzet moved to Dominique Perrault Architecture as an Architect, where they worked on the Longchamp Hippodrome Competition and the National Court Hall Competition. Timothée then joined Henning Larsen Architects as an Architect in 2013, where they worked on the Adidas Headquarters Competition and the EuroMed University Competition. In 2014, they moved to Herzog & de Meuron as an Architect, where they worked on the Chelsea FC Stamford Bridge Stadium and the National Library.

In 2015, Boitouzet joined PCA-STREAM | Philippe Chiambaretta Architecte as the Director of Research & Development. In 2017, they became the Founder & CEO of Woodoo, where they rebuilt wood at the molecular level to make it the most performative material of the 21st century. Timothée also became a Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum that same year. Woodoo has won over 41 innovation awards since 2017.

Timothée Boitouzet has a well-rounded education history. Timothée obtained a Masters in Architecture & Material Science from Harvard University in 2012, with a thesis titled "Material Transfiguration". In 2011, they were a part of the High-Low Tech research group at the MIT Media Lab, crafting Material Interfaces. In 2008, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Architecture from the Kyoto Institute of Technology. Lastly, in 2010, they obtained a Masters in Architecture & Urbanism (HMONP) from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Versailles, with a thesis titled "Space vs Architecture".
