Andrew Wiegers has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Andrew started their career as an Engineering Tutor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2012. In 2013, they joined Baker Hughes, a GE company, as an MWD/LWD Field Engineer III, where they executed various drilling programs and conducted formation evaluation services. From 2011 to 2012, Andrew worked as a Staff Mechanical Engineer at NORTECH Environment, Energy, Health & Safety Services, performing energy audits and collecting building data. After that, they joined Trefny Innovative Instruction Center as a Data Assistant, where they built surveys, cleaned and analyzed data, and conducted statistical analysis. In 2018, Andrew served as a Graduate Assistant at the Colorado School of Mines, grading coursework, evaluating student performance, and providing feedback. Most recently, they have been employed at Woodridge Software, starting as a Developer and progressing to Senior Developer and Lead Developer. In this role, they have been involved in full stack web development and the implementation of microservices using RESTful APIs.
Andrew Wiegers completed their education with a Master's degree in Statistics from the Colorado School of Mines, which they pursued from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. In addition, Andrew briefly attended Curtin University in 2010 for a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
