Julie Huber

Julie Huber is a Senior Scientist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, a position held since June 2017, where research focuses on deep-sea volcanic activity and the resilience of life in extreme environments. Prior to this role, Julie served as an Associate Scientist and Associate Director at the Bay Paul Center of the Marine Biological Laboratory from January 2005 to May 2017, and held various positions including Assistant Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow. Julie's academic background includes a PhD and MS in Oceanography from the University of Washington, obtained between 1998 and 2004, and a BS in Marine Science from Eckerd College, awarded in 1998.
