Leslie Jonas

Leslie Jonas currently serves as the WHOI Tribal Liaison and Research Administrator at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, while also working as an Advisor and Instructor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. With extensive experience as an Indigenous Land Conservationist at NATIVE LAND CONSERVANCY INC and a former Sr. Development Strategist and Consultant Contractor for the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, Leslie has significantly contributed to grant writing and revenue development, enhancing tribal programs. Previous roles include Powwow Director, Communications Strategist Contractor at Children's Cove, and Executive Producer at Jack Morton Worldwide, showcasing a strong background in event production and strategic communications. Leslie holds a Diversity & Inclusion certification from Cornell University, a Master of Science in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University, and a BA in Mass Communications from Emerson College.
