Andrew Nicholls

Andrew Nicholls has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as General Manager of Carbon Capture & Storage and Head of Supply Development for New Energy APAC at Woodside Energy since June 2022. Prior to this, Nicholls worked at BHP from January 2011 to December 2021 in various roles, including Joint Venture Manager for the Scarborough LNG Development and Asset Planner for Australian Petroleum. Earlier positions at BHP also included Subsea Project Manager and Subsea Installation and Commissioning Lead. Nicholls began his career as a Subsea and Pipeline Engineer at Atteris and GHD, where Andrew also worked as a Mechanical Engineer. Academic qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from The University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Curtin University.
