Johnny Choi

Johnny Choi is an experienced Electrical Project Engineer at Woodside Energy, specializing in high and low voltage electrical network equipment, risk assessments, and execution procedures. Since February 2021, Johnny has worked on various projects, including the upgrade of offshore battery systems and leading arc flash studies on platform electrical systems. Prior roles at Woodside also included responsibilities as a Graduate Electrical Engineer on offshore platforms and FPSOs. With a background in renewable energy education as a tutor at The University of Western Australia, Johnny holds a Master of Professional Engineering and a Bachelor of Philosophy (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering & Finance from the same institution. Additional experience includes a research assistant position at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research and earlier roles in customer service and tutoring. Johnny is currently enhancing language skills through a summer exchange program in Japanese Language and Literature at Kwansei Gakuin University.
