Laurent Pouret, CFA, has over 15 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, business development, and strategic management within the energy sector. Currently serving as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions and Principal Commercial Advisor at Woodside Energy since April 2020, Laurent previously held the position of Head of M&A / Business Development at Neptune Energy from April 2017 to April 2020, where responsibilities included global mergers, acquisitions, and divestments. Laurent's earlier roles at ENGIE E&P involved leading a transformation program and managing business development activities. Educational qualifications include a Master of Philosophy in Technology Policy from the University of Cambridge, a Master’s degree in Energy Economics from IFP School, and a Diplome d'Ingenieur from Centrale Lyon, along with the Chartered Financial Analyst designation obtained between 2016 and 2018.
