Matthew Thomson

Matthew Thomson is an experienced professional in operational technology and digital delivery, currently serving as the IROC Digital Delivery Lead at Woodside Energy since August 2019, where the focus is on managing a team responsible for OT, IT, and telecommunications for remote operations. Prior experience includes roles at Shell as a Control Systems IT Engineer, where compliance and maintenance of control system security were key responsibilities, and contributions as a Principal Instrument and Controls Engineer at Wood, overseeing the replacement of legacy control systems. Matthew has also held engineering positions at Kentz, Three Streams Engineering, and Honeywell Process Solutions, where skills in project engineering, control systems, and telecommunications were further developed, complemented by a degree in Engineering and Commerce from The University of Western Australia.
