Simon Douse

Simon Douse is an accomplished oil trader with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving at Woodside Energy since February 2017. In this role, Simon manages the optimization of Woodside's LNG portfolio, overseeing contract negotiations, shipping logistics, and operational risk mitigation. Prior to this, Simon held positions at RISC as a Senior Commercial Consultant, providing strategic advisory services in the upstream oil and gas industry, and at Origin Energy as a Commercial Analyst, focusing on energy markets. Simon's career began as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer at WSP, specializing in power generation projects. Educationally, Simon holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
