Jon Samuel

Jon Samuel is an experienced leader in the mining and sustainability sectors, currently serving as Chair of the Anglo American Foundation and Trustee of the Woodsmith Foundation. With a diverse background, Jon holds positions such as Director and Co-Chair of the IRMA Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance and Director at the Development Partner Institute (DPI Mining). Education includes an MPhil in Land Economy and a BSc in Economics and Geography from UCL, complemented by a Post-graduate Certificate in Cross-sector Partnerships from the University of Cambridge. Jon's extensive tenure at Anglo American and De Beers Group includes various leadership roles focused on social performance, responsible business partnerships, and strategic oversight at both organizations.
