Neil Irving

Neil Irving is an experienced leader in the charitable and community sectors, presently serving as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation and Chair of Governors at The Dales School. Since October 2015, Neil has been a Trustee at the Woodsmith Foundation and has actively contributed as a Voluntary Ranger for the North York Moors National Park Authority since April 2004. Neil's past roles include Assistant Director at North Yorkshire County Council and External Trustee for the University of York Students' Union. Neil's extensive involvement in various organizations, including the York and North Yorkshire Community Foundation and the North Yorkshire Forum for Voluntary Organisations, reflects a commitment to community service and leadership. Educationally, Neil holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from Sheffield Business School, an MA in Social and Community Work Studies from Bradford University, and a BEd (Hons) in Community and Youth Work from Westhill College.
