Nicholas Widener

Director Of Film Studies at Woodward Academy

Nicholas Widener is a seasoned educator and leader in film studies, currently serving as the Director of Film Studies at Woodward Academy since March 2014. In addition to this role, Nicholas holds various coaching and administrative positions, including Assistant Coach for Varsity and JV Cross Country, Assistant Director of Student Publications, Assistant Director of Summer Camps, Middle School Track Distance Coach, and Substitute Teacher. Previously, Nicholas gained valuable experience as a Photo Lab Monitor at Savannah College of Art and Design and as an Editorial Intern at Athens Banner-Herald. Nicholas also held editorial roles at The Colonnade, including News Editor and Assistant News Editor. Nicholas's early career included a position at Chick-fil-A. Academically, Nicholas earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mass Communication/Media Studies with a minor in Photography from Georgia College & State University.
