Wallis Smith-Owens

Technical Designer and Patternmaker at wool&

Wallis Smith-Owens has extensive work experience in the fashion industry, with a focus on technical design, patternmaking, and sewing pattern drafting. Wallis currently holds the role of Technical Designer and Patternmaker at wool& and Wool&Prince, where they are responsible for creating and maintaining tech packs, drafting and fitting patterns for various sizes, and leading fit sessions for misses and plus size ranges. Prior to this, Wallis worked at Colette Media as a Pattern Maker, where they drafted sewing patterns using Optitex PDS software and created a variety of patterns for all genders. Wallis also generated and maintained tech packs during their time at Colette Media. In addition to their technical roles, Wallis has experience as a Founder and Designer at This Old Blouse, a Product Developer and Merchandiser at Teri Lingerie Co LLC, a Production Manager and Patternmaker at Folly, and a Lead Production and Patternmaking Assistant at Jet Clothing. Wallis also gained valuable experience as an Intern at Atlanta Sewing and Pattern-making (ASAP) and Kevin Garcia Originals. Throughout their career, Wallis has demonstrated their expertise in all aspects of the design process, from initial idea conception to final product commercialization.

Wallis Smith-Owens received a Bachelor of Science degree in Apparel Design and Merchandising from Auburn University. Furthermore, Wallis holds a certification as a Girls on the Run - Certified Running Coach from Girls on the Run International, although the month and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.
