Claire Gelder has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries. Claire is currently the Founder of the Wool Couture Company, a position they have held since 2015. In addition, Claire was the Founder and Innovation Partner at Health Innovation Centre Ltd from 2015 to 2016, where they worked with individuals, teams, and organizations to identify and deliver innovative solutions to complex problems.
Prior to their current roles, Claire held various positions at the West and South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Commissioning Support Unit from 2012 to 2015. Claire served as the Director of Transformation, OD and Research from 2013 to 2015, and as the Principal Associate for Transformation and Director of Research from 2012 to 2013. Before that, Claire worked at Bradford and Airedale NHS from 2007 to 2012, holding roles such as Assistant Director Innovation and Research, Deputy Director Quality, and Head of Quality and Effectiveness.
Earlier in their career, Claire worked at Airedale Primary Care Trust as a Quality Improvement Manager from 2005 to 2007, and at Bradford City Primary Care Trust as an Improvement Lead from 2002 to 2004. Prior to their roles in the healthcare sector, Claire worked at Yum! Restaurants International from 1995 to 2000, where they held positions as a Development Manager and Area Manager. Claire also completed the Management Training Scheme at Yum! Restaurants International from 1993 to 1994.
Claire Gelder pursued their education at the University of Leeds from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health.
