Brian Oliver is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in medical research and education. Since February 2014, Brian has served as a Distinguished Professor at the University of Technology Sydney, where Brian also holds the titles of Professor and NHMRC CDF 2 Associate Professor. In January 2008, Brian became a Research Leader at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research. Brian's prior experience includes a position as a Research Fellow at the University of Sydney from January 2005 to February 2014, and a Scientist role at Imperial College London in 1998-1999. Brian Oliver earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Respiratory Virology from the University of Sydney, a Master's Degree in Human Immunology from the University of Liverpool, and a BSc (Hons) in Human Biology from the University of Leeds.
