Jacob Crouse

Jacob Crouse is a distinguished researcher currently serving as a Visiting Scientist in the Psychiatric Genetics Group at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since September 2024. Crouse also holds the position of Executive Editor for Research Directions: Depression at Cambridge University Press & Assessment and serves as Associate Editor for the Australian Psychologist with the Australian Psychological Society since December 2022. In addition, Crouse has been an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow at the Brain and Mind Centre since January 2017 and has received several accolades, including the CMHN (UK) ECR Award in 2024 and being recognized as the SLHD Young Researcher of the Year in 2023. Crouse's past roles include Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation Fellow and Postdoctoral Research Associate. Education credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine and a Master of Brain and Mind Science from the University of Sydney, along with a Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Psychology from Western Sydney University.
