Katrina Fortescue

Katrina Fortescue is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience across multiple industries. Currently serving as Chapter Lead for Operational Communications at Woolworths Group since September 2025, Katrina has previously held key positions at BIG W as Communications Manager for both Store Operations and the People Team. Prior to those roles, Katrina was Communications Manager for the City of Sydney, overseeing a team and executing comprehensive communication strategies. Katrina's background also includes experience as Assistant Communications Manager at Mirvac, Communications Officer at City of Canterbury Council, and publicist at Hotshots Entertainment, along with a foundational role as a Senior Journalist at the Western Weekender. Katrina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Western Sydney University, a Certificate IV in Public Relations from TAFE NSW, and completed Project Management Fundamentals at the Australian Institute of Project Management.
