Anina Potgieter

Anina Potgieter is an accomplished legal, risk, and compliance professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as the Head of Legal, Risk & Compliance at Woolworths Financial Services since October 2013, Anina has successfully developed governance and compliance strategies while leading significant initiatives. Previously, Anina held the position of Head of Insurance at Woolworths, where focus on operational excellence facilitated the management of diverse insurance products. Anina’s prior roles include Senior Manager of Insurance at The Foschini Group, achieving substantial growth in the insurance business, and various leadership positions at Old Mutual, including National Manager of Value Proposition Strategy, where a segmented strategy transformed distribution outcomes. Anina’s career began at Absa, where legal advisory services and estate administration were key responsibilities. Anina holds a BA LLB degree from Stellenbosch University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, and is a Certified Financial Planner.
