Fei Ding

Adjunct Professor

Fei Ding is a seasoned professional in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as the Manager of the Grid Automation and Controls Group at the National Laboratory of the Rockies since January 2015. With extensive experience in leading research projects exceeding $8 million, Fei focuses on grid-edge intelligence, distribution grid automation, and renewable energy integration. As an adjunct professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and the University of Connecticut, Fei imparts knowledge on distributed generation and management systems. Additionally, contributions to the IEEE Power & Energy Society and the Institution of Engineering and Technology include roles as associate editor for multiple journals. Fei holds a PhD from Case Western Reserve University and dual degrees from Tianjin University in electric power systems and automation.
