Reilly Desai

Reilly Desai is currently serving as a Technical Manager in the Theater Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a position held since August 2022, focusing on theater technology and production support within a student-driven team. Reilly has previously contributed as a Student Developer, creating an augmented reality application in collaboration with Schneider Electric, and as a Human-Computer Interaction Researcher in the HCI Lab, exploring touch-sensitive fabrics under the Early Research Experience in E-Term program. A former Office Assistant in the Mathematical Sciences Department, Reilly also participated as a Research Intern at OFFIS, engaging in HCI research on pneumatic inflatable soft robotics. Reilly's leadership capabilities were demonstrated as the captain and founder of the FIRST Tech Challenge team, FTC 17009 Steel Magnolias, from August 2019 to April 2022. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, expected to graduate in May 2026.
