Taimoor Afzal

Taimoor Afzal, Ph.D., currently serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute since January 2022. Previously, Taimoor held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where research focused on exoskeleton gait training for patients with neurological disorders. Additional postdoctoral experience was gained at TIRR Memorial Hermann, with shared research efforts. Taimoor began as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, researching locomotion for transfemoral amputees. Earlier academic roles included Assistant Professor at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, teaching various engineering courses, and a Trainee Engineer position at Heavy Mechanical Complex Taxila. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Engineering Science and Systems from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, an MSc in Control Systems from The University of Sheffield, and a BSc in Computer Engineering from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology.
