Zhi (Jane) Li is an Assistant Professor in Robotics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, focusing on robotic manipulator motion control, human arm motion control, and the design and optimization of robotic systems, including medical robots such as exoskeletons and surgical robots. Prior to this role, Zhi served as a Postdoctoral Associate at Duke University, working on tele-nursing robotic systems, and as a Teaching and Research Assistant at UC Santa Cruz, where PhD research centered on upper limb exoskeletons and surgical robots. Zhi also has experience as a Research Intern at Polaris Wireless and conducted research at the University of Victoria, contributing to studies on cooperative manipulations in networked environments. Zhi holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from China Agricultural University.
