Gary Zamchick

Gary Zamchick has a long and varied career in the fields of experience design and computer science. Gary began their career in 2003 as an Adjunct Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering: Graduate School. In 2004, they took on the role of Principal Information Designer at Parsons School of Design - The New School, where they managed a seven person team of information designers, flash programmers, researchers and writers. In 2005, they joined Rockwell Group as a Principal Experience Designer, where they were responsible for spatial experience design for a broad range of project types. In 2008, they became the CEO and Experience Design Lead of Zamchick Group, LLC, a consultancy working with companies to develop new products, services, and brand experiences. From 2013 to 2021, they were the Co-Founder and CEO of WordsEye, a creative visual expression platform that combines the power of language and 3D graphics. During this time, they also served as an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at Columbia University in the City of New York from 2017 to 2021, a Strategic Designer in Residence at Cornell Tech from 2017 to 2019, and a Project Worker at Brightline.org, Knight First Amendment Institute, and LAPP from 2019 to 2021. In 2021, they took on the role of Innovation Strategy at Delos. Finally, in 2022, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Zamchick Group.

Gary Zamchick received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art Biology from Stony Brook University and attended the School of Visual Arts for Conceptual Illustration.
