Paymon Khamooshi has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Paymon co-founded Sutton College of Technology in 2022 to establish a new UK university focused on offering postgraduate programs and scholarships in Digital Engineering. Prior to this, they co-founded WordUp App in 2018, a language learning app powered by AI. Additionally, they co-founded Geeks Ltd in 2007, a tech partner firm for Changemakers, providing software solutions and strategic guidance. Paymon also worked as a Systems Developer at BBC Worldwide, where they were part of a specialized team offering architecture guidance and troubleshooting assistance to software development teams. Paymon initiated and delivered a new technology for bespoke CMS creation. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Software Developer/Architect on numerous web-based, distributed, and enterprise projects for various companies.

Paymon Khamooshi pursued their BSc in Software Engineering from AZAD University, completing their studies from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they enrolled in the University of Brighton for their Masters in Computer Software Engineering, which they accomplished in the year 2005. Additionally, Paymon Khamooshi obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification from Amazon Web Services in December 2018.
