Founder at Work in Fintech

Matthew Cheung has a wealth of work experience. Matthew began their career in 2000 as an Investment Management Performance and Risk Analyst at the Royal Bank of Canada. In 2003, they became the Head of European Market Analysis at Refco, where they filtered news, research and commentary delivering market moving information to over 250 proprietary traders in London and Chicago. In 2005, they co-founded and became the COO of RANsquawk (now known as newsquawk). In 2020, they became the Founder of Work in Fintech and in 2021 they were appointed as a Strategic Development Board Member at the Royal Docks School of Business and Law @UEL. Currently, they are the CEO of ipushpull.

Matthew Cheung's education history includes a Master of Science in Finance from Imperial College London, obtained between 2002 and 2003. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Investment & Financial Risk Management from Bayes Business School between 1997 and 2000. From 1995 to 1997, Matthew attended Chichester College, and before that, they attended Chatsmore Catholic High School from 1990 to 1995. Matthew also holds two additional certifications: a Realm Academy Metaverse Education Certificate from Everyrealm Inc., obtained in March 2022, and an AI for Everyone Certificate from Stanford University, obtained in June 2020.
