Mark McGee has held a variety of roles in the software development and systems administration fields since 2002. Mark began their career as a Student Assistant at Butte College in 2002. In 2005, they were a DBA/Programmer at California State University, Chico's College of Business (STEPS). From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Systems Administrator at STEPS for Assessment, Inc., providing general support and occasional development for the STEPS online evaluation tool. From 2007 to 2013, they held three roles at California State University, Chico's University Advancement office: Programmer/Analyst/DBA, Programmer/Analyst, and Programmer/Analyst. During this time, they maintained the Banner ERP system's Advancement module running on an Oracle database and worked with department staff to design and implement enhancements and separate tools to increase efficiency in the department.
In 2013, they became a Developer at Auctiva. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Developer at 11 Main, where they worked as a back end developer and occasionally tweaked front-end code in C#, JavaScript and node.js with a MySQL database. 11 Main was bought by OpenSky, where they worked from 2015 to 2017 as a Software Developer, developing front end and back end solutions with C#, JavaScript, jQuery, DoT.js, HTML, CSS and SQL Server. In 2017, they became a .NET Developer at Work Truck Solutions and a Software Developer at IOVOX.
Mark McGee attended California State University, Chico from 2004 to 2006 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems (BADM/MIS).
