Chinmay Kale

Chinmay Kale has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Chinmay is currently the Director of Engineering at WorkDove, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Avalara from January 2021 to January 2023, where they served as a Software Engineering Manager and a Senior Software Engineer. Before Avalara, Chinmay worked at Republic Wireless as a Software Engineer from December 2016 to October 2019. Chinmay also has experience as a Software Engineer at Bandwidth.com from August 2014 to November 2016.

Chinmay's earlier experience includes working as a Semantic Solutions Developer at TopQuadrant from February 2012 to July 2014, where they focused on the EPIM ReportingHub project for the oil and gas industry. Chinmay also worked as a Software Developer at StarPound Technologies from January 2011 to November 2011, where they were involved in designing and developing web applications and managing MySQL databases.

Furthermore, Chinmay worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Computer Science Department of the University of Georgia from May 2009 to December 2010. During this time, they researched Semantic Web Technologies and REST web services, and developed an ontology server called RIO (RESTful Interface to Ontologies).

Chinmay's early career includes a role as a Software Developer at Synygy Inc. from 2006 to 2008. Here, they gained experience with J2EE frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, JSF, Ajax, JMS API, and web services.

Chinmay Kale completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University from 2002 to 2006. Chinmay later pursued a Masters degree in Computer Science from The University of Georgia, from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the Sun Certified Java Programmer certification from Sun in 2007.
