Johanna Herman

Johanna Herman is the founder of Workerbird, a tech for good startup established in April 2018 that empowers individuals to enhance their working lives through personal data. Previously, Johanna served as an Outreachy Open Source Intern at Mozilla, where contributions were made to the Standardization of Web Application APIs project, and as a Full-stack Developer at Founders & Coders, where involvement included creating the chatbot Little Window for Chayn, an initiative focused on gender-based violence. Prior extensive experience includes serving as Senior Research Fellow and Deputy Director at the Centre on Human Rights in Conflict at the University of East London, alongside a background as a Research Fellow. Educational qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a Master in International Affairs with a focus on Human Rights from Columbia University.
