Howard Wooden

Howard Wooden joined the WOS team in May 2019 as a Program Manager in Vermont. He comes to WOS after a career that included being a public school teacher and principal, a full-time touring musician, and a small business owner.

Howard received his undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University and a Masters from Johnson State College. While pursuing an advanced degree at the University of Vermont, Howard worked part-time as a musician and eventually left academics to begin a successful career as a member of a folk group, Woods Tea Co, that performed 125 shows each year including concerts at Lincoln Center in NYC and two PBS music specials. Howard also owned and operated HS Studio, an audio/video studio dedicated to supporting independent artists.
