Michael Rice

Michael Rice has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Currently, they serve as the Director of Engineering for Data at Workhuman since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Boston Scientific from 2020 to 2022, holding roles such as Senior Manager, Global Data & Analytics, and Regional IT Manager for Ireland. In their role as Regional IT Manager, they were responsible for IT services at Boston Scientific's manufacturing sites in Galway, Cork, and Clonmel. Before that, Michael worked at Fidelity Investments from 2011 to 2020. Michael held positions such as Director of Data, where they led a global team in developing and implementing an enterprise-scale data lake, and Director of Global IT Operations, where they founded ITEC's System's Reliability Engineering team and managed Fidelity's Enterprise DevOps initiative. Michael also has experience as a Global Database Administration Lead and Principal Database Engineer.

Michael Rice obtained their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations & Human Resources Management from the National College of Ireland, which they attended from 1988 to 1993. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained several certifications throughout their career. Michael completed a certification course called "Be the Manager People Won't Leave" at LinkedIn in September 2022. In July 2018, they obtained the certification of ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) from the Eliassen Group. Michael also completed a course on "Unconscious Bias" at Lynda.com in July 2018.
