Lavar Oldham

LaVar Oldham is an experienced attorney and equity shareholder at Workman Nydegger since May 2002, specializing in intellectual property management and client collaboration on application drafting and prosecution strategies. LaVar served as an adjunct professor at Brigham Young University's J. Reuben Clark Law School from January 2009 to May 2017, teaching Advanced Patent Prosecution. Prior to their legal career, LaVar worked as a project engineer at Underwriters Laboratories from July 1996 to July 1999, focusing on the safety evaluation of electronic and mechanical equipment, particularly in industrial control, power equipment, and motor drives. LaVar holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
