Alex Pharr has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. From 2018 to the present, Alex has held the position of Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives at Workplace Options, where they oversee the establishment of vendor partnerships and evaluate financial positions and performance. Prior to this, Alex served as the Director of Global Products from 2014 to 2018, responsible for strategy and development, as well as estimating cost to serve new business. They also held positions as Systems and Metrics Manager and Global Accounts Coordinator within the same company.
Outside of Workplace Options, Alex has worked as an Assistant Coach for Varsity Boys Basketball at Millbrook High School from 2011 to 2015, assisting with player development and game strategy. They also worked as a Coach at Hoop City U in 2010 and as an Assistant Coach for the 16U team at NC Gators in 2010.
In other professional roles, Alex served as a Marketing Coordinator at John Neal, Bookseller from 2009 to 2010, and as the Head JV/Assistant Varsity Coach for Bishop McGuinness HS Boys Basketball from 2009 to 2010. They also worked as an Assistant Varsity Coach at George C Marshall High School from 2007 to 2009, and as an Intern at the Israeli Consulate to the Southeast in 2006.
Alex Pharr's education history begins with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Peace, War, and Defense, which was obtained from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2003 to 2007. Following this, Alex pursued further education by completing the UNC Business Essentials Certificate in 2012 through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and also attained a Microsoft Office Excel 2010 Level 3 certification from North Carolina State University during the same year.
In 2015, Alex Pharr enrolled in the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where they studied Strategy and Leadership for two years, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2017.
