Andrew Maher

Andrew Maher has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Andrew began their career in 2002 as a General Manager at Sean Doyle Group and continued in the same role at Sean Doyle Management from 2010 to 2013. In 2012, they worked as a Student at Churchtown Counselling & Psychotherapy. From 2015 to 2017, they served as a Volunteer Counsellor at Living Life Counselling. Furthermore, they worked as a Counsellor/ Psychotherapist at Counselling4wellness from 2015 onwards. In 2016, Andrew joined The Haven Group as a Child & Adolescent Counsellor. Starting from 2016, they took on various roles at Workplace Options, including Counsellor, Incident Manager, and Trainer, as well as Clinical Team Lead in Ireland. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Clinical Service Delivery - Europe at Workplace Options, a role they assumed in 2020. Through their career, Andrew has gained experience in providing emotional and practical support services, employee wellness programs, and clinical services.

Andrew Maher completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth from 1990 to 1994. Andrew then attended De la Salle Churchtown from 1984 to 1990, although specific degrees or fields of study were not mentioned. In 2012, they obtained a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Churchtown Counselling & Psychotherapy. From 2014 to 2015, they pursued a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at The Institute of Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. In 2016, they obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Child & Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapy from the same institution. Andrew furthered their education at The Institute of Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy by pursuing an MA in Pluralistic Counselling & Psychotherapy from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, they received a Certificate in Group & Individual Crisis Intervention from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. From 2018 to 2019, they pursued a Diploma in Advanced Supervision across Professions at the International College for Personal and Professional Development. Lastly, in 2020 and 2021, they completed EMDR Europe Accredited Training, focusing on Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing.
