Julie Watson

Julie Watson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Julie is currently the Chief Information Officer at WorkSafe New Zealand since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked at ANZ, where they held various positions, including Technology Area Lead for Payments NZ and Technology Operations NZ, as well as Senior Commercial Manager from September 2016 to May 2021. Before their time at ANZ, Julie worked at the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) as a Network Services Manager from June 2015 to September 2016 and as a Network Services Vendor Manager from 2011 to 2015. Julie also had a role as a TSR Voice Coordinator at the Ministry of Social Development in Wellington, New Zealand from May 2009 to October 2009. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Commercial Analyst at the State Services Commission from January 2008 to May 2009. Julie's work experience also includes roles as a Project Manager at the Ministry of Social Development in Wellington, New Zealand from 1996 to 2000 and at Telecom New Zealand from 1993 to 1995. Additionally, they took on the role of a University Student at Victoria University of Wellington from February 2010 to October 2011, where they aimed to complete their Commercial Law degree.

Julie Watson studied Commercial Law at Victoria University from 2010 to 2011 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree. Additionally, they completed a degree in Management Science at the University of Canterbury from 1990 to 1992, obtaining a BSc.
