Taryn Murphy

Taryn Murphy is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in security analysis and management. Currently serving as the Cyber Security Manager at WorkSafe New Zealand since February 2023, Taryn previously held roles as a Senior Security Analyst at the Ministry of Social Development from April 2021 to February 2023 and at Fujitsu New Zealand from January 2020 to April 2021. Taryn also has a background in delivery management and product ownership at Spark New Zealand, where responsibilities included overseeing security advisory squads and IT security. Earlier in the career, Taryn worked in various roles at Datacom, focusing on service delivery and knowledge management, and served as an End User Specialist at the National Library of New Zealand. Taryn's foundational experience includes service desk analysis at the Ministry of Social Development and ANZ. Education was obtained at Hutt Valley High School.
