At Workshop Detroit, we believe furniture should tell a story — of craftsmanship, of community, and of materials given a second life. From our workshop in the heart of Detroit, we design and build handcrafted solid wood furniture that blends timeless design with honest, hardworking durability.

Every dining table, bench, coffee table, and butcher block countertop we create starts with carefully sourced reclaimed lumber, salvaged from Detroit area houses and commercial buildings This wood has already lived a life — supporting factories, homes, and buildings that shaped Detroit’s legacy. We honor that history by transforming it into solid wood furniture made for modern living.

Our team of skilled woodworkers crafts each piece by hand, paying close attention to grain patterns, character marks, and structural integrity. The result is heirloom-quality furniture that’s as strong as it is beautiful. Whether it’s a reclaimed wood dining table built for family gatherings or a custom conference table designed for a collaborative workspace, every piece is made with intention and built to stand the test of time.
