Ernestas Nacius

Ernestas Nacius is a Junior Research Fellow and engineer at the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) since October 2017, specializing in scientific research and contributing to high-impact publications while supervising experiments in the ultrafast laser micromachining laboratory. Concurrently, Ernestas has worked as a researcher at the Workshop of Photonics, conducting experiments in femtosecond laser micromachining and developing laser workstations. Ernestas's earlier experience includes roles as a maintenance worker at The Lake Motel, customer service at Lidl Lietuva UAB, and an intern at Altechna, where skills in optical element testing and CAD software were developed. Ernestas holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Engineering, a Master's in Physics with a focus on Laser Technology (Magna Cum Laude), and a Bachelor's in Applied Physics from Vilniaus universitetas, alongside early education at Extracurricular School of Physics "Fotonas" and Panevėžys Juozas Balčikonis gymnasium.
