Ryan Poe has a diverse work experience, starting in 2008 as an Editorial Assistant at Arkansas Historical Quarterly. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Arkansas. In 2009, they founded and led development at w8mngr. In 2010, they joined the Labor and Working-Class History Association as a Web Developer and Assistant Editor. Ryan also served as an Executive Assistant at the same organization from 2010 to 2014. In 2010, they started pursuing their PhD at Duke University and continued until 2016. During this time, they were also the Co-Chair of the History Department Professional Development Committee and a Member of the Membership Committee at Southern Historical Association. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Radio Systems Corporation, where they held various roles as a Web Developer, Frontend Developer, and Senior Frontend Developer. Since 2019, they have been working as a Senior Architect at WorkTango Inc. Additionally, they contributed to American Yawp in 2013 as a Contributor.
Ryan Poe attended Duke University from 2010 to 2017, where they studied History. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in History from the University of Arkansas between 2008 and 2010. Ryan completed their Bachelor's Degree in History at the University of Arkansas from 2003 to 2008.
