World Affairs Council of Atlanta
Rickey Bevington serves as the President of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta and holds the position of Executive In Residence at Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Bevington is a former Leadership Fellow of the International Women's Forum and co-founder of Climate Action Women. Previous experience includes significant roles at Georgia Public Broadcasting, including Senior Anchor/Correspondent and News Director, where Bevington received accolades such as two Emmy awards and the RTDNA Edward R. Murrow Award. Bevington's background also includes positions at the German Marshall Fund, Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network, and Showtime Networks. Academic credentials include a B.A. magna cum laude in Comparative Literature from Barnard College, complemented by studies at the University of Strasbourg and The Putney School.

Founded in 2010 to support of the city’s transformation into an international economic hub, we have organized hundreds of programs exploring a diverse array of world events and trends.
