Catherine MacLean

Director, Communications at World Anti-Doping Agency

Catherine MacLean is currently the Director of Communications at the World Anti-Doping Agency. Prior to this, they were a Senior Communications and Public Relations Consultant with Catherine MacLean Communications from October 2012 to November 2014. There, they helped clients achieve their business and communications goals, partnering and delivering from strategy through to execution. In 2013-2014, Catherine was engaged by London Mining on a long-term contract to develop and implement a turnkey communications strategy & engagement plan for their iron ore mining operation in Sierra Leone.

Before Catherine MacLean Communications, they were the Manager of Communications at Rio Tinto Alcan from February 2008 to September 2012. And before Rio Tinto Alcan, they were the Director of Communications, Alcan Bauxite and Alumina at Alcan Inc. from July 1998 to February 2008.

Catherine MacLean's educational career includes an undergraduate degree in psychology from Concordia University, as well as a certification in Executive Certificate Program in Corporate Social Responsibility from McGill University. Catherine also has a certification in Media Training from Spaeth Communications.

Catherine MacLean reports to Witold Bańka, President. They are on a team with Olivier Niggli - Director General, Shannan Withers - Chief of Staff, and Dao Chung - CFO.
