Günter Younger

Director, Intelligence & Investigations at World Anti-Doping Agency

Günter Younger is the Director of Intelligence & Investigations at the World Anti-Doping Agency. Günter has over 25 years of experience in law enforcement, including serving as a member of a three person Independent Commission responsible for conducting an investigation into doping activities in Russia, as well as the accredited laboratory based in Moscow, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) and the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).

Previously, Mr. Younger was the Project Director and Chairman of the Euro South East Conference for the European Commission. In this role, they were responsible for sponsoring and organizing the yearly conference of 22 countries and approximately 100 participants from South East Europe. Additionally, they served as a permanent expert for OLAF in the field of Counterfeit money for the European Commission Experts Group - ECEG and was the permanent representative for counterfeit money for all German states.

Mr. Younger has a law degree from the University of Freiburg and is fluent in German, English, French and Italian.

Günter Younger studied Kriminalistik und Kriminalwissenschaft at the Deutsche Hochschule der Polizei. Afterward, they pursued a Diplom Administration in Strafjustiz/Polizeiwissenschaft at the Fachhochschule der Polizei.

They work with Olivier Rabin - SED, Sciences & International, Olivier Niggli - Director General, and María José Pesce Cutri - Director, Latin America. Günter Younger reports to Witold Bańka, President.
