Alessio Punzi

Alessio Punzi is an accomplished professional in sports management with extensive experience in various roles within the athletics and cycling sectors. Currently serving as Head of Running at World Athletics since October 2016, Alessio has also held positions such as Road Running Manager and has contributed to the launch of the inaugural UCI Women's World Tour during a tenure at Union Cycliste Internationale. Previous roles include Senior Marketing Manager at Contest Sports Network, Project Coordinator for European Athletics, and various positions focused on advocacy and communication for cycling organizations. Alessio holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Sport Administration and Technology from AISTS and a summa cum laude degree in Sports Management from Sapienza Università di Roma, along with a background in Communication and Media.
