Marton Gyulai

Marton Gyulai is an accomplished sports executive with extensive experience in sports management and event organization. Currently serving as the Director of Competition and Events at World Athletics since October 2023, Marton Gyulai previously founded and has been the Executive Director of Sport and Trade Hungary Ltd. since June 2015. Marton Gyulai held notable positions such as Executive Director of Sport for the Budapest 2023 World Athletics Championships Nonprofit Ltd. and served on the Council and Development Commission of European Athletics from April 2011 to October 2023. Marton Gyulai was the CEO of the Hungarian Athletics Association from February 2008 to August 2020 and played a key role in staging various athletic championships, including the U18 Championships. Marton Gyulai also contributed to sports media as a commentator for Digi Sport and Eurosport and was a co-owner of PromoSport Ltd., a successful sports event management company. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and International Government from the University of Notre Dame and a Master's in Sports Organisation Management from the MEMOS Association.
