Riaan Cloete

Riaan Cloete is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in various roles at BHP since January 2001, including Head of Finance for Nickel West and Senior Finance Manager for Western Australia Iron Ore, among others. Riaan has also served in temporary secondments for Group Reporting and West Africa Iron Ore. Additionally, Riaan is a member of the World Athletics Executive Board Audit and Finance Committee since August 2020. Educational qualifications include being a Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a CMA from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Riaan holds an Honours BCompt from the University of South Africa and a BCom Acc from the University of Pretoria.
