Binyam Reja is a seasoned professional in the field of economics with extensive experience at the World Bank. Currently serving as the Global Practice Manager since September 2020, Binyam previously held the position of Regional Practice Manager for Central Asia, China, and Mongolia at the World Bank Group’s Transport Global Practice, where responsibilities included overseeing US$10 billion in lending and technical support for transportation projects. Binyam also worked as a Country Sector Coordinator for China and served as a Senior Transport Economist earlier in the career at the World Bank. Binyam holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics from UC Irvine and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UC Santa Barbara.
