Daniel Villar has extensive experience in the field of economics and credit risk management, currently serving as Adviser to the Group Chief Credit Officer and Principal Economist & Credit Risk Head at the World Bank Group since August 2012. Prior to this role, Daniel was the Lead Risk Management Officer at MIGA from February 2000 to August 2012 and held positions at Booz Allen Hamilton as an Associate/Senior Associate and at Bouygues as a Financial Officer. Daniel began a professional career at The World Bank as a Research Assistant from February 1991 to January 1994. Academically, Daniel holds an MBA in Finance from INSEAD, a MA in Development Economics from American University, and a BA in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland.
