Deepak Singh is a seasoned disaster risk management specialist with extensive experience in leadership roles across prestigious organizations. Currently serving as Lead Disaster Risk Management Specialist at The World Bank since May 2008, Deepak also held the position of Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist within the same institution. Prior to this, Deepak worked at the Asian Development Bank from September 2005 to April 2008 as a Project Management and Engineering Specialist and at The Louis Berger Group from November 2001 to June 2004 as a Team Leader for a project management consultancy focused on the ADB-assisted Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development Project. Deepak’s career journey began at Mott McDonald India, where a leadership role was held from 1996 to 2001. Educational qualifications include a PG Diploma in Urban Planning from the Center for Environmental Planning and Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from BIT Mesra. Deepak is based in Bangalore, India.
