Lakshmi Shyam-Sunder

Lakshmi Shyam-Sunder has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector. Lakshmi is currently the Group Chief Risk Officer & VP at the World Bank.

Lakshmi has previously served as the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance and Risk at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) within the World Bank Group. Prior to that, they were the Director at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), also part of the World Bank Group. Lakshmi has also worked as an Assistant Professor at both the MIT Sloan School of Management and Dartmouth College's Amos Tuck School of Business Administration.

Lakshmi has a wealth of experience in finance and risk management, which they have gained through their work in various leadership positions within different organizations. Lakshmi is an expert in their field and is highly respected by their colleagues.

Lakshmi Shyam-Sunder has a Ph.D. in Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a PGDM (MBA) in Management/Finance from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Economics/Statistics from the University Of Bombay.
